The idea of EXPOneer arose in Kiel, it was born in Kiel with the first small exhibition at the Kieler Woche 2013 and it grew up with the two pilot projects in Heikendorf and Eckernförde in the hinterland of Kiel. Up to now, the idea isn’t grown-up, but now it is time to move; to move in order to discover the world. And this important day for EXPOneer is today, Monday, June 30. 

A small 2x2 exhibition module is well packed in a cardboard box in order to go on journey. The travel destination is Finland, exactly said Jyvaskyla in the center of Finland. Here, a project meeting of the EU–project IRRESTISTIBLE will take place. The target of the EU-project is to bring discussions on responsible research and innovation into schools. Among others, student-curated exhibitions should support this. Over the next years, more than 300 student-curated exhibitions will arise in the ten European countries, represented in the IRRESISTIBLE project. These exhibitions will be presented in schools, in public organizations and in museums/science centers. And what seems to be more suitable than the EXPOneer system? It is sure, that it will not be possible to realize all exhibitions with this system, but perhaps 20 or 30? Or even 50? 

In order to distribute this idea even further, the EXPOneer shelf had a performance at the ECRICE conference. The conference with approx. 150 participants from 32 countries is made for persons coming from chemistry didactics. The spectrum ranges from rather principle-based research to questions concerning material development up to practical examples; the main target group is teachers and teacher educators.
